Vehicles sinking or falling out of the world when driving over certain parts after recent Roblox update

After today’s Roblox update, I’ve received reports from players that their vehicles are falling out of the map at a random location in the game.

The issue has been happening in my game Canterbury & District Bus Simulator V4.1 however I’ve also heard reports of it happening in Crʚydon: The London Transport Game and other games using the popular A-Chassis model.

Some steps I have attempted to resolve the issue is turning off StreamingEnabled and removing the collision groups on the vehicles, however neither of these had any effect.

System Information
13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
64GB DDR5 RAM
Windows 11

Reproduction Steps

  1. Jump into one of the cars on the repro place.
  2. Begin driving around and you will fall out of the map at a random point.

Noticed this while playing Car Crushers 2 and other numerous games.

By any chance, are you using Collision Groups or unions?

I’m not sure if this means anything, but in your test place, when I set the CollisionFidelity of the Union to PreciseConvexDecomposition the car no longer falls through the map. You could try playing with those settings to see if this provides a temporary fix for the issue.

Well, setting Unions/Meshes’ CollisionFidelity to PreciseConvexDecomposition may still result in walking through them as shown in this post: Humanoids can walk through MeshParts set to "PreciseConvexDecomposition"

Hence why I said to play around with the settings to see if any worked best, though I was testing unions with the different fidelities and didn’t seem to have any issues with them. That post also only mentions MeshParts, not Unions, that said, my game is made almost completely out of MeshParts and I’m not having any collision issues.

We’ve made a change that should fix it. Can you confirm that the collisions are working now?

I’ve just tested and the collisions appear to be normal now. Thanks for the quick response
