Hello, I’ve been creating a game in roblox studio, and I encountered a bug that I couldn’t fix, so i took a break. I just came back, and I’ve found a much simpler solution that would require going back to an older version of the game (~One hour ago). Is there anyway to get it back?
You can find previous versions that you’ve saved/published to Roblox through the following steps:
- Go to the page of the game
- Click the 3 dots at the top right (next to the title of the game)
- Select “Configure this Place”
- Open the “Version History” tab
On that page, you can select the “Revert to this version” button next to the version you want it to go back to. The next time you open that place in Roblox Studio, it’ll have gone back to that version and then you can publish it to Roblox through “File” at the top left, so that it becomes playable from the Roblox website.
Video Explanation
When I click the three dots, all I see is [Remove from list].
Also don’t mind the name, it’s not the final version, lol.
Oh by the page of the game, I meant on the Roblox website, not inside of Roblox Studio.
Can I still do it even if my game isn’t published?
Yes – as I mentioned in my original reply, you can find any versions that you have either saved or published to Roblox through the Version History section.
When I go to ‘My creations’ in roblox studio, I do not see the game, even though I can see it in roblox studio.
There are things like Rojo, which do allow a better version of this, but the simple one pre-built in studio is…
Go to File
, then Game Settings
Then click Places
Once your here you can click the three dots and hit Version History
to find the complete version history of your game from roblox autosaves+when you published it
