Hello, these past few weeks every time I join a game my ping is extremely bad and It’s lead me to have very bad FPS, for example in Deadline(Roblox Semi-Realistic fps game) every time I join a server my ping is from 120-370 MS, I don’t know how to fix this but I really need some help also, why doesn’t Roblox prioritize lower ping servers? I think that could be a solution to some problems.

From my experience playing games, when you play a game via play button. By default, roblox will pick the “best” server to play on.
For example: It picks a server matching your region that your device is playing in (for example US) and that server has to have at least players playing on.
Though in some cases, roblox picks a server with plenty of players to play on but that server is located somewhere far away like in Asia. So yeah, there’s a chance you’ll get high ping when playing roblox games…
But another point I wanna make is that server region isn’t always the problem of high ping.
One time I played a random game I found, and after like 20-30s of playing… My ping peaked to 10,000+ ms. Dunno what’s going on but it’s not related to the region whatsoever.
- If you average 70-150ms, then you’re playing in a server that’s near you.
- If you average 200-300, then you’re probably playing in a server that’s far away.
- If you average 500-700, then you’re probably having problems with your internet.
- If your ping spikes at random moments then it could be the server or your internet.
I’m sorry if this didn’t solve your problem I’m just talking like it’s from my perspective.
