So I’m not going to say this is necessarily under-rated or anything as it does have nearly 1 million visits, but I stumbled upon this insanely detailed and quite immersive Hogwarts game that I wanted to share in case you haven’t seen it and are a fan of the HP series. It builds off the original and fun albeit simple idea that @buildthomas started all those years ago, and I’m sad it isn’t as active.
I think it’s a very good use of smooth terrain, user meshes, particle emitters, and overall environmental design.
It’s probably kept on the down low, and doesn’t use actual references to the actual HP universe because of the strong copyright issues w/ ROBLOX & HP. Probably why it isn’t as popular as it could be.
There’s a bunch of people on the website who make cool Hogwarts showcases / role-playing places like this, although in my opinion this would definitely be one of the better ones if certain circumstances wouldn’t be taken into account (see DMs). I like the ambient design in most places of the map.
I love the map and certain aspects of the game, however I felt like the UI was wayyyyyy too slow and flashy, and the interactions between player and environment (wand, cauldron, etc) felt kinda clunky.
