Very large lag spikes every few seconds

I tried looking on google for answers and i just got ping spikes, my ping is fine but my game just freezes for up to 5 seconds at a time in games. This started a while ago and im getting tired of it because people keep killing me during the lag spikes.

Ive tried:
Retteting PC
Reinstaling roblox
Reinstalling roblox studio
Deleting all roblox related files off my pc then reinstalling both roblox and studio

Is this in your own roblox game (that you created) or in every roblox game you join?

oh, i didn’t read the last section of the top. Have you downloaded any things that may have viruses? Or maybe check your (internet) ports? Or is your hardware trailing behind? This is all i can suggest lol.

i dont lag in any other games or applications, just roblox.

I think the roblox client has just generally gotten sluggisher and less optimized

It’s so bad that the starter place is taking up 600MB of RAM on my phone, despite it not being intensive at all

I wish there was a way to get the engineers to drop everything and perform emergency optimization on the client

Anyway, what are your hardware specs? I’d like to know if your hardware is unreasonbly underpowered (I doubt that considering what you said), or if roblox is doing unreasonbly poorly (I’m also curious what the microprofiler is saying)

I have:
11th gen intel I7 2.50ghz
32gb ram
nvidia geforce gtx 1660 super

I havnt tried roblox on my laptop in a while but the specs on that are
i forgot the cpu but i think an i7
32gb ram
rtx 3060 or 3090 i forgot

Hello, roblox might be lagging because windows has decided to use cpu instead of gpu. To fix that go to windows settings > system > Graphics settings. To add roblox in there you have to find RobloxPlayerBeta location. To do that find roblox on your deskop, then right click it > open file location and copy the path. So after that return to graphics settings and click browse, paste robloxplayerbeta location into the path and select robloxplayerbeta. After you added it click options and select high perfomance. Note: You have to do that everytime roblox updates.
