I see you’re using multiple people’s assets/libraries, and not a single thought went into handling the process for owners who want their content removed from this plugin. It’s even more disappointing that you’re putting a price tag on it.
IMO, you should do better.
i credited rovfx which is where i got the textures from
They didn’t make all the assets used, crediting does nothing when an artist/owner cannot easily remove their content from this plugin.
they can get their assets removed by contacting me on discord. other than that its open source and im allowed to use them.
why do people think i stole assets when they are open source and i showed where to get them?
Regardless, that doesn’t give you the right to do something like this, especially without giving the courtesy of a headsup. The fact that you said you couldn’t should have been a thought that maybe this isn’t a good idea.
Hi, texture artist & manager at RoVFX here, we requested that this person post his texture data for free, clearly presented, if he wishes to continue profiting off of a tool using our work; we initially suggested this in his server where he consistently offsetted blame and refused to comply with our terms.
Would like to note that you can find all of the texture data (and more!) for free at our official archive.
or discord server, which he has indirectly mentioned above. Please do not purchase this plugin if your only desire is textures; all of these assets are free and the majority of artists from our server did not consent to our work being posted in this plugin.
We tried to peacefully make a compromise in which both this tool and our server both continued functioning as normal; but were rejected by the owner of this plugin which is why this post is being sent at all.
Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone who purchased this plugin, as a token of understanding that you did not intend to steal our works we will not be pressing users who use the textures from this plugin. You may continue to use our works (unless an individual artist contacts you and asks that you cease usage of a particular asset, in which case we are usually very understanding and there is no reason to be afraid).

but they are open source and they can find the artists and textures in the channels i showed.
open source /= resell, repackage, as yourown

Man’s trying to sell free, open-source assets and doesn’t see the problem 
not “as my own” i never said that. i gave credits to where i got them from too. + anyone can get them there
Credits do not give you permission to resell our works. We offered a compromise in which you would be allowed to continue using our works in your plugin, you denied our offer and continued being stubborn. Arguing against this is not doing anything for you.

im not selling access to the assets. i litterally showed where to get them from for free and mentioned that they are open-source.
zonito kept saying that too but i showed him clearly that i showed where to get them from.
yet he still says that its “stolen”, “behind a paywall”, “reselling” when ANYONE can go get the assets for free in the server i credited

We provided our terms, if you make all of the texture data you use (IDs, texture names) public and included in your server and post; we will give you permission to use our textures since you will be respecting and honouring their original license. You refused to this deal and continued to argue and blame others for your insufficient sourcing. We are the original source. We have full say in how you use our works, and we most definitely did not say you could use our works like this.

The plugin has a price, does it not? That is literally selling access to them. If you can’t grasp why it’s a bad look to sell assets you had no hand in making whatsoever, I don’t know what to tell you
