Chandeliers, please. It’s sort of too dark without lighting on.

Here you got me, I also like victorian era styled rooms so I can help you! Bed looks very awesome, but all bedroom room very blank, maybe try to add things like:

  • 2 desks with lamps next to bed,
  • dressing,
  • small roof over bed with pink or blue fabric,
  • fireplace,
  • big curtain kinda hiding the entrance to the balcony,
  • chandeliers,
  • old-style, stylized wardrobe,
  • mirror,
  • sofa and armchairs,
  • before sofa or armchairs put small round table with unreadbook on any page (or you can also put the book on the desk next to bed) or bowl/plate with food like apples, bananas, grapes etc. and chalice with red wine,
  • one or two libraries with books and other,
  • big picture with thick stylized frame,
  • plants in the pot on the balcony and armchair there

That’s all I can recommend for now, you don’t have to use these all things I wrote here! Also, when you will end, please, post a full picture with all room and balcony. :smirk: :star_struck:

Hi, the the bed looks great however the room is a bit dark contrasted to an actual Victorian styled bedroom. A luxurious royal bedroom would be quite bright and have pillars as seen in the image below. The room is also lacking furniture and maybe some picture frames.

Also, those windows need some improvements! Try to aim to create more abstract shapes when it comes to windows, as having blocky windows always looks dull. And do not forget to add blinds!

thank you! i wasnt sure whether i should make fancier windows or not since they lead out to a balcony, but i see what you’re saying. do you think there is too much gold in the room so far?

yea haha i plan on adding way more furniture and designs, i just wanted to get opinions on mainly the walls and other things. thank you!

YeS. i love chandeliers will totally add

Very nice and clean. I like the wall layout as well.

If you want my opinion about current building then I can tell that I don’t see anything bad-made except these windows which should be more abstract.

Looks likes it’s going in the right path! Hey, you should try using a dummy NPC for scale.

Classic British styles are pretty nice.

I really like where it’s going. You should try and play with

  • Textures
  • Lightning

I was looking through what other people had to say, and I have some suggestions as well. It could firstly use some era-specific lighting, like a chandelier as mentioned before by @anon81993163 . Another useful addition would be more ornate details on the wall and ceiling. This would include switching out the rectangular wall pieces and windows with some more curved ones. Also, try curtains, it would really help the room feel more lively. Another thing that would make this nice to look it is all-around lighting.

Here are some ways you can greatly improve the lighting:

  • Add a subtle blur effect
  • Give a tint in the ambience, such as a bluish or yellowish effect.
  • Increase the exposure if you’re using FiB lighting such as voxel/shadowmaps.
  • I seriously recommend turning on the GlobalShadows property if you haven’t already
  • Add rays! They’ll immediately improve your build.
  • Experiment with the other effects, these recommendations are just from my experience.

Keep in mind lighting is many times what makes or breaks a build, so if you’re planning on integrating it into a scene using at least some of these tips could do amazing things.

thanks so much! i do think lightning could definitely give this build a whole new look. ive really wanted to use rays for a while, but i just can’t figure out how to work them. i actually just finished a chandelier to add, and it looks much better with it included. thanks for all these tips!

Authentic Victorian decor was dominated by use of dark colors, lots of dark wood, and floral motifs. It was not uncommon for entire rooms to be paneled in dark wood with no wallpaper, for those who could afford it. The reference image shown is decidedly Baroque. Since this style predates the Victorian Era by more than 100 years, it was of course possible for a wealthy Victorian homeowner to have a baroque revival bedroom, but it was not the style of the times.

It looks absolutely amazing!
It’s just missing a few things.
Thing’s you can potentially add:

  • Curtains
  • Dresser with or without a mirror
  • Lamps

Good Victorian era styled room.

All it needs is the latest lighting system that Roblox has to offer.

Looks really good - I agree with the lighting changes.

It looks good, the only thing it needs is some curtains, nightstands, lighting, and a wardrobe! Good Job looks great so far.
