Videos about game dev progress = Good idea?

I am making a game Left behind Like in my every post,
and I have a youtube channel where I post some stuff not too often [Sometimes half year after a video came out]
I was thinking about making some sneak peaks into youtube, and it is just something that made me loose subscribers, and sometimes when I upload a Roblox studio video it gets me some subcribers, Is it a good idea to make even videos while you are a game developer?

I think you should do it, it keeps your community entertained and they get to see sneak peaks

Game development videos are always welcome. We need more content creators who happen to be developers to offer the community that perspective which is so often lacking.

That being said, it doesn’t need to be fancy with editing or anything like that.

Well, I just record with XBOX gamepad and then just end it without editing, because I don’t know how to edit anything :man_shrugging:

Definitely a good idea, keeps fans interacting with the developer and allows the game dev to post teasers and keep people hyped about your game.

Going to repeat that it’s a good idea. A very common complaint with game communities is a lack of communication from developers. Players highly enjoy regular updates. That is, both updates in the sense of communication from the developers as well as actual updates, even minor ones.

If that is what’s getting you and your fanbase entertained, then sure! Go ahead! I find it really cool seeing developers making videos, especially videos showcasing their work, or showing themselfs working with what they specialise in! Making sneak peaks or dev logs for upcoming games or updates is also cool!

Do whatever you feel like!
