Visuals not updating on certain configurations of network ownership

Hi, I’ve been working on a VR game that utilizes roblox physics quite heavily.

About… today or last night i started to have this issue where the visuals stop updating on objects about 0.25 seconds after assigning network ownership.

Interestingly enough, this is a visual/lighting but, but it happens on all types of lighting modes. be it future or legacy.

This started happening for me (windows 10, GTX 1060 6gb, 16gb of ram, Ryzen 2700x) and my friend (Windows 10, GTX 2070, Ryzen 3600) Today (December 19th) but I *think i encountered it last night, but do not recall.

Sadly, I’m not sure how to build a repro for it, so I’ll be attaching the original game file to the bug report DM thingy

Interestngly enough, it’s only my games updated after 12/19/20

UPDATE: new info 12/20/20

This seems to be a problem only on multi-part assemblies, such as welded objects, or objects connected via constraint.


The barrel here is 1 part, but the table 2 parts.

the gun from the demo file starts as 1 part, but becomes 2.

the flashlight is 2 parts.
