Voice Chat does not at all work

When attempting to use Voice Chat in any voice-chat enabled games, my voice chat entirely fails to work, simply showing an error symbol over the mic. No matter what I attempt to try, Voice Chat continues to fail to work. I have attempted to utilize everything from reinstalling, logging in and out, restarting my device, disabling and re-enabling voice chat and none of these methods were at all successful.

Reproduction steps:

  • Join Voice Chat enabled game
  • Voice Chat Fails to work
  • Cry

Expected behavior

Voice Chat should work entirely fine without any issues.

Well, you have microphone enabled in Windows Settings? :confused:

this happened to me about a month ago. the only thing i could really do is wait, redownloading roblox or checking your microphone doesn’t work.(or it didn’t for me)

I am also getting this constantly, no matter what I do!
I’ve noticed your profile says you’re close to Australia (I’m from Australia). Maybe this issue is related to our region?

I’ll see if using a VPN fixes this for me

Same has been happening to my australian friend, works when connected through another country using a VPN.

Ah right, I’ll setup a VPN in Singapore and see if that works. Initially set one up in Australia (living in NZ) as an attempt however it did not work

This appears to have stopped happening now on my end, unsure if others are still encountering this issue though.

Me and my friend (both from Australia) were experiencing this issue for 2 days. However it started worked again today

I have noticed this happening to me from time to time and all I do to fix it is changing my input and output settings. Unfortunately, sometimes I have to restart the game entirely to fix it.
