Voice chat server size

How do games have over 50 player servers and still have voice chat that works?
I’d like to have 80 player servers in my game, and considering that voice chat is a crucial part of the gameplay, it’s a bit difficult to just use chat instead.

I’ve seen games like fireteam with 60 player servers, and I’m fairly sure Mic up even had 200 player servers at one point. How is this possible, considering that the Roblox Documentation states that you can only use voice chat in experiences with up to 50 people.

I’ve tried fiddling around with the server size, and it seems that 80 player servers COULD work, but Roblox automatically disables voice chat after rejoining a couple of times.

At the moment, it’s capped at 50. If voice chat was enabled in a place with a higher maximum player count, an exception was made by staff to permit that. Maximum player count updates doesn’t apply to existing servers so you can be in an old server with a 50 cap that has voice available while the place is set to 100.
