Voice up [voice chat game] [FEEDBACK]

Hello, me and my team have worked on a Voice chat game for a while now. We tried to go for a more modern/casual look, unlike the other voice chat games.
Since there aren’t many people in the development group we decided to get some outside perspective from other people. What could be improved? What should we remove? And what could be better? There might be some bugs we haven’t noticed because we haven’t gotten any outside perspective from our development team yet.
(Some constructive criticism in the comments would be nice)

Added a new stuff thanks to feedback and comments:
-Bowling
-Swordfight arena
-Game of spin the bottle
-Piano
-Updated the restaurants and made the music box interactive
-New fanart

Seems like something a “rogangster” would play 24/7. Oh well, great work. Not much to say about it cause it looks so good.

AYO VOICE UP!

All jokes aside, this looks like an ACTUAL DECENT voice chat game. Not just some trash baseplate that took 0.5 seconds to make. So good on you for that.

that was the target audience :skull: :skull:

I think this is fantastic!
It’s very unique to other games as far as I know and I can assume an active player base.
Definitely will give this a go sooner or later.

This looks amazing! I love the builds and the lighting, you did a great job. If you’d add some cool features such as being able to play bowling, it would be even better.

Thank you, the place has working bowling. I think you missed it  . But alright man!

What do you mean? What have I missed? All we can see is a picture of a bowling hall, which doesn’t say if you can actually play bowling or not.

I like how the aquarium looks a lot. There are many other games like this (Mic Up, etc.) but I like how this one is more like a vibe club game.

Why don’t you try playing the game then?

I have visited many voice chat hangout experiences on Roblox and I got to say that this is the most outstanding game. It has so many features as piano, pool, aquarium, stage. I love both the interior and exterior design - all of that game is nice and I hope people will visit this place.
Now I visit only that place if I want to take a break of building and hang out with people. Oh, I would add more plants and art but I know adding more stuff there would make it laggy, I guess. Anyways this place is great in every way, cozy place with interesting vibe.

Yeah more greenery would be a good idea!

Just did, and it seemed great. I did find some bugs tho, but I notified a developer about that.

You do realize i am the developer :skull:

Yeah, I was just telling him lol.

Okay, I haven’t played the game yet, but I do have a suggestion.
Marketing. I can’t imagine myself seeing an advertisement or being recommended by a friend to play a game called “Voice up”, especially when there’s a very negative stigma to such a similar line “mic up”.
I would change the focus on the game to be more of a VR-Chat experience (aka involving yourself in activites like an arcade area while talking to strangers), rather then one where you seem like your meant to argue on.

I’m not gonna tell you to revamp everything, but I just love the idea of a game where you’re free to create social events at places, hold get togethers & etc in an interactive world, and I think it’s kinda a missed opportunity.

I cannot rename the game to something else since all of the ´´popular ones´´ have already been taken and I am quite happy with the name. Mic up is in no way similar to my game not by appearance or any kind of way. Also, I cannot make it into a VR-Chat-based game since Roblox VR is not that popular and very few people have it (not enough people to make any kind of profit). VR-mode will be added anyways in the future. Also, my friends recommend lots of voice chat games to each other. I just think you are in a different kind of group that isn’t interested in voice chat games.
Also people cant recommend this game to you anyways since this isn’t game popular enough. I need to fill out the servers just so I could get the word around. Also, new activities are being worked on right this moment just so people could find this game more interesting!

My bad, I should have clarified what I was trying to say better.
I think the saying “mic up” has a negative stigma to it, and the name sounds much too familiar to a saying that really doesn’t have a good tone to it. I do not know much about the game itself.
Also, when I said VR-Chat like experience, I didn’t mean that as in people use actual VR headsets. I meant it as in people are in an interactable world where you can do things like paint pictures, open shops, and obviously voice chat. I think there’s a huge open market for this kinda thing and people don’t seem to notice how big voice chat can be as a social roleplay mechanic.

In conclusion, I wouldn’t try making a “niche vibe game” where all that’s different is voicechat. I think that has already been done and this new idea could really benefit you and your game.

Oh sorry for the misunderstanding! Yes a shop will be added in the game (it was suppose to be a secret since we didin´t want people to copy our idea), the development is done for the shop, right now its waiting for the next update.
Also I we don´t want to add painting since lots of people can be ´´immature´´´ if you know what I mean :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: . And yes we aware of the Mic up stigma but our team really likes the name and probably will never change it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: We totally agree with your opinion about doing something different and we are trying to improve our game to be better!
