Experience: VR Bowling [WIP] - Roblox

Release Notes:

  • Non-VR players can’t properly experience game due to it being VR Focused; updates geared towards those without VR are planned.
  • Currently only 1 bowling lane, which only supports 1 player
  • Still design work to be done. (I.E., building surrounding bowling lanes, clean up of workspace)
  • Total score still needs to be added to TV
  • Initial working release

Added:

  • Added Bowling lane not following realistic proportions*
  • Added Bowling lane following realistic proportions (i.e., bowling lane is to scale of real life.)
  • Added Bowling ball following realistic proportions (i.e., bowling ball is to scale of real life)
  • Added TV with Frame keeping (~43 inches)
  • Added Interactive TV with button to start Game
  • Added bowling round code
  • Added 15 feet approach indicator

Changed:

  • Rescaled pins to realistic proportions (i.e., bowling pins are to scale of real life)
  • Changed world options (gravity, jump power, walk, slope) from Classic to Realistic (Real world gravity, Athletic human)
  • Changed location of picking up a bowling ball
  • Changed equipped bowling ball from old (non-realistic proportions) to new(realistic proportions)

Known Bugs:

  • Bowling ball randomly goes 200+ studs per second.
  • End of game not indicated/possible to knock more pins down after end of game
  • Pins don’t reset at the beginning of a new game (they do reset each frame.)
  • Can throw multiple bowling balls into bowling lane

*This may be removed at a future time.
