Me and a group of people are looking to make a game inspired by Telltale’s Walking Dead games.
The issue is, I’m not generally sure if it is possible to make, and I’d like to see what other people think.
Personally I think it is possible, just it would have to take a very large and experienced development team, as making a game like this would be an arduous task. But with that we’d have to pour a lot of money into it.
We plan on having cutscenes, and dialogue with choices just like telltales games.
Let me know what you guys think, could really use some feedback.
if you’re planning on making it one player then it’s possible!, if more players than one I think it would be harder and u would have to make voting system for the choices!,
i don’t see why it wouldn’t be possible, it might be easily exploitable though, however if it is a single player then you don’t have to worry about any of that.
summary: making a narrative driven game such as the walking dead, life is strange, or even detroit is absolutely possible.
btw: a tip you can split the game across multiple places to reduce lag caused by scripts.
