Hello, I’ve been warned for uploading a UI vector icon which I don’t think breaks any of the roblox rules.
Can someone explain how and why I was warned? I did not try directing users off-platform at all as stated on the warn message, and I’m making this post to try to find the cause of my warn to not make the same mistake

Hi, Roblox is really strict and it is intentional.
It appears similar to a social media icon, even though it isn’t.
I had the same thing happen to me with a fake cyberpunk code.
It’s also important to note that warnings are not all that serious and I’m sure Roblox is aware of problems with the filter being too strict.
Appeal it if you haven’t already. The icon does look like a logo for something, but google Lens searching the image wasn’t entirely helpful.
That said, was that icon in a pack or did you find it online? I don’t think copyright necessarily, but that exact icon is used in some other Roblox games and some adult game on Steam (I checked their page for the game) for some reason:
it was from a vector pack someone I work with got me, how would I go to appeal it?
it’s pretty much like an icon for an offsite app. that’s why it was taken down for ‘directing users off platform’. average roblox moderation actions
generate an ai appeal through chatgpt and go to violations & appeals and you should be able to appeal it there.
trust me, ai is excellent for appealing moderation actions, especially automated ones. I managed to get 17 warnings appealed successfully thanks to ai.
just explain everything to chatgpt and it should give you an appeal template. paste it on their appeal page and wait for the bots’ response (it takes no longer than two minutes to get a reponse, don’t worry). it will most likely be restored

Do you think it will be fine if i simply reupload the icon? or will I get warned for it aswell?
It depends, one time I got like 6 warnings trying to reupload something.
You probably can reupload it though. Either way, they probably won’t make a big deal about it.
What is the icon being used for?
The icon is basically a invite friends button, it really shouldn’t be a big deal. I’ll try reuploading though, I feel like if i try appealing it’ll take too long to get a response
Appeal it first. If they accept the appeal then they will typically let the original upload go through.
To be fair this icon looks like a real life chatting app which probably got flagged through their Pre Moderation system which isn’t really a issue honestly

They wouldn’t take a random image down for “looking” like an offsite app’s logo, surely there has to be some precaution right
