Hello. I was filling more water. I got this ditch while attempting:
I tried:
- Part to terrain
- Just filling it with terrain editor
Neither of them worked.

Are you sure everything is flat and nothing is in the way? If your environment is square in in shape then it prob a glitch in studio.

It probably a glitch. You can confirm this hypothesis by testing in another roblox project.

Did you already try the Upgrade Shorelines? I think it can fix those issues too

Water is missing there, that location actually is empty but the water still connects regardless.
Try using the fill tool or either painting it.
