Water simulation journey

Hi, im currently working on a water simulation for fun, I threw together a quick prototype for me and was wondering what else i could add to it.

This project uses editable meshes.

This looks really good! Honestly all I can really think of is adding a reflection on the floor of the water or whatever the ray of light would hit, like a player or other object

do you have any idea how to add reflections? Roblox doesn’t allow us to write shaders…

Dude this is better than any other water simulation out there rn, and to add reflections, you could set the material to metal and turn up the environment specular.

you could probably use raycasting every few squares to create a beam or a texture wherever it hits and make the texture look like a water reflection? it might be a bit laggy and impractical but Im not sure if youre planning on using it in game
