Whether you’re communicating with other players or playing the game by yourself, you are responsible for how you express yourself. These are the general rules you need to follow while playing Waterloo at home:

  • Don’t engage in harassment.
  • Don’t make real threats of violence.
  • Don’t engage in hate speech.
  • Don’t reference hate groups.
  • Don’t reference extremist ideologies.
  • Don’t spam.
  • Don’t bypass inappropriate words.
  • Don’t use inappropriate avatars.
  • Don’t reference Nazi Germany.
  • Don’t promote the Confederate States of America.
  • Don’t create inappropriate structures.
  • Don’t grief.
  • Don’t abuse bugs or glitches.
  • Don’t exploit or hack.
  • Don’t avoid punishments.
  • Don’t loophole rules.
  • Don’t violate Roblox Community Standards.

Note: The rules above are general guidelines and can be flexible, but it’s safest to follow them strictly. The next section details each rule and its punishments.

Account Punishments

To enforce our game rules, account punishments are issued when someone attempts to or actually does break the rules. These are the punishments issued for each offense:

  • Bypassing minor inflammatory words either intentionally or accidentally in text chat: 1 mute warning → mute.
  • Spamming text chat: 2 mute warnings → mute.
  • Harassment: 2 mute warnings → 1 kick warning + mute → 1 server ban warning + kick → server ban.
  • Griefing teammates using structures: 2 kick warnings → 1 server ban warning + kick → server ban.
  • Disrupting other players’ experience via bugs or glitches: 2 kick warnings → 1 server ban warning + kick → server ban.
  • Using an avatar that displays arguable or questionable NSFW content: 2 kick warnings → 1 server ban warning + kick → server ban.
  • Using uniforms, imagery, or symbolism affiliated with Nazi Germany as a historical entity in whole or in part, except for symbolism that does not directly violate Roblox Community Standards (as it will result in a permanent game ban anyway): 2 kick warnings → 1 server ban warning + kick → server ban.
  • Displaying propaganda promoting the Confederate States of America: 2 kick warnings → 1 server ban warning + kick → server ban.
  • Bypassing slurs or explicit content via text: immediate 1 week game ban + report to Roblox moderation.
  • Creating structures that display content that violates Roblox Roblox Community Standards: immediate 1 week game ban.
  • Bypassing the text filter or image moderation with in-game mechanics, such as structures, to display or post content that violates Roblox community standards: immediate 1 week to 1 month game ban.
  • Bypassing image moderation with flags to display or post content that violates Roblox community standards: flag ban + 1 ban warning + kick → 1 week to 1 month game ban.
  • Attempting to loophole rules: punishment based on rule being loopholed.
  • Exploiting/hacking by abusing client movement (flight, speed): immediate 1-6 month(s) game ban.
  • Exploiting/hacking via remotes or game mechanic vulnerabilities (silent aim, etc.): immediate game ban.
  • Hate speech targeting a player’s race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability status, or age: immediate game ban.
  • Attempting to circumvent punishments, including using alternate accounts to evade bans: immediate game ban.
  • Violating of any rules listed in the Roblox Community Standards that are not described above: immediate 1 week to 1 year game ban depending on severity.

Note: All bans with an unspecified length expire after 1 year. All punishments with duration ranges are based on staff discretion. Game bans will result in a ban from using private servers as well. All punishments are subject to the discretion of the moderation staff.

Appeals and Reports

If you believe you were wrongly punished, caught someone breaking the rules, or were a victim of admin abuse, please join our communications server found in the Waterloo at home social links.

  • To appeal a ban, open a ban appeal ticket. If there is no evidence against you, or if you can provide counter-evidence, your ban may be lifted or the severity of your punishment reduced.
  • To report a rule breaker, submit a report ticket with solid evidence. You may receive a special helper role for your assistance, which can ease your path to a staff position.
  • To report admin abuse, submit a staff report ticket with solid evidence. Use the appropriate ticket based on the abuser’s rank: a low-rank staff report ticket for Trusteds and Moderators, and a high-rank staff report ticket for Admins or Developers.

Note: You will not be warned for offenses that result in an immediate ban. Appealing such a ban by claiming you were not warned will result in your appeal being denied. Many appeals are denied because the offenses violate Roblox Community Standards, not just our game rules.
