So in my game, I promote codes on the discord server. Also do giveaways on the discord server such as in-game chat tags. And, I want a way to better promote the discord server without saying the word “Discord” in my game. I’m thinking of something related to social links since it s there.
“Join our communications in the social links!”
Communications or Communication Server usually gets the message across.
What do you mean? Do you mean that when you say Discord its # out?
Roblox doesn’t censor guis but, if you say something against ROBLOX TOS inside of a gui, it becomes a bannable offense. However my game has an average player count of 30-45 and its been out for a week.
Chat app, Purple Chat app, Fishkord, Communications server.
That’s a good idea. I might try that.
I thought it was pretty obvious to be honest. A bunch of experiences call it “Community Server” “Communications” “Communications Server”.
fishkord, i absolutely love it.
LOL I love how you said “experiences”. Yeah, I guess i didn’t know that many people understood the meaning of Communications Server.
Normally they say, “Join our Community Server!” And they add their discord server to social links. Most people understand lol.
look at the message i replied to ;-;
The best approach would just be to direct players to the social links section under your game, whether this be through chat messages or UI. References to Discord aren’t allowed whatsoever in games so this would be much safer than rephrasing the name or outright dodging the filter.
I’ve already decided to go with “Communications Server”. But one thing to note with your message is, Roblox does not filter GUIS. You could literally put the f word in there and not get in trouble unless roblox notices. However my game has an average of 20-40 players online with the game being released only a week so roblox might notice me if i had “Discord” in the GUI.
