Ways to improve lighting in blender?

I was messing around in blender and I learned how to set up a sky environment lighting along with a spotlight. This is to get a nice gradient look while allowing the shadow to have that beautiful blue color. I look at it now I wonder, are there more ways to improve this? I know there like 3 point lighting, using hdri for lighting, and emission lighting. I was wondering, what other kinds of lighting methods are there? How can I make the lighting look stunning? (Since like lighting is important in visuals) Also, the sparkles are overlays (after effects). Is it possible to do those types of effects in blender?

Also congrats to those who graduate class of 2020 :slightly_smiling_face: (I might be a week late :joy:)

My only take is switching to cycles. And Iā€™m pretty sure blender has its own particle system so researching that could give you the sparkles and glitter your looking for. You can also experiment with nodes to give the text more realistic properties such as sub-surface scattering.

Thank you for your feedback! This render is in cycles but thanks for suggesting that. :slightly_smiling_face:
