Yeah but I don’t want to have a temporary job and move to San Mateo, I’m currently still doing education and doing software engineering next year.

The Roblox headquarters is located in San Mateo, they have load of workers which work from home in different countries tho. Just for this case they want the people which apply to all meet in one spot which would be their HQ.

I was just automatically rejected from the position, to my unfortunate surprise.

I’m pretty sure it has to do with my rejection from a few months ago during the interview phase after I applied to the new graduate Software Engineer position at Roblox, which I kind of find a little bit unfair because this Community Apprenticeship is quite different than the original SWE position that was offered.

Roblox shouldn’t have to reject applicants automatically for positions that are fundamentally different than the one you rejected months prior.

Hey! When reading through the job description I noticed that only language requiring proficiency in is LUA. However, when I read further into the application process I noticed that the Practical Skills assessment on CodeSignal is in JavaScript. Are we expected to be proficient in JavaScript as well for this position? Or will the CodeSignal assessment be in Lua?

Codesignal is an assessment platform like HackerRank, you can choose any language you like

Is there any way to use Luau though? I only see an option for basic lua. Key libraries like “table” that many Roblox developers are used to are missing.

EDIT: I ended up doing some practice problems. The extra Luau libraries shouldn’t be necessary for the completion of these. Thanks for the clarification.
