Well after thinking about it, there is no way these ‘animated heads’ are going to use less performance than the classic heads. Even if they are controlled via client, they will still be moving mesh faces on other peoples clients which that client will have to render. So basically the more players in a singular game, the more taxxing it will be. So this again just further handicaps developers as another thing they will have to consider with player count. Honestly they should just remove R6, Remove Rthro, Remove anything thats not the “Meta” theme, and see how many players remain on the platform, I love a good game of chicken. If we could just fastforward to that moment I think everything would play itself out.
And for a lot of people saying its about money?? its really not. I seen this article explaining that in 2021 the CEO of roblox was the 7th HIGHEST PAID CEO, so as far as money goes, they have plenty. It’s roblox. it’s their game. they will do whatever they want to do regardless. So let them do it. Do i feel like they should respect the userbase? absolutely. did facebook lose a bunch of money to this whole meta scheme? absolutely. does messing around equate to finding out? ABSO-LUTELY.
yes, because I was fully in support of this update until I saw 2D faces being removed
now im highly against it as there are some faces I wanted to buy but now cant even tho I got the robux

it’s called innovation and ideas, technology is improving however us users DO NOT, so these companies are trying to FORCE it upon us before 2030 reaches and we will not know how to use the features that it had in 2024
When I was using a more…er, performance-degrading laptop, having any sort of layered clothing would already start to make my client lag. Having a bunch of dynamic heads isn’t going to do any favours to Players with poorer performance.
indeed, the higher the technology on lower end devices the worst it will be, for example the innovation awards 2023, I have a good performance pc, that is refurbished however and I lagged sm, on the obby because IDEK why the roblox logo in game had to have an animation, same for the obby parts with a fade in and out animation

I’m not really sure why they didn’t just say this from the start. Obviously it still leaves the issue of these faces costing Robux now, but this is a fair compromise and probably as good as we’ll get.

Blessings from the Roblox Coorporation indeed. I still think that majority of the Devs here are slightly enraged about the fact that classic faces are offsale.
They’re being bundled with the dynamic versions. You then toggle between dynamic/classic as you want.
Again, it’s not perfect. You still have to buy the dynamic heads when the classic heads were mostly free. I’m just glad Roblox isn’t completely removing the classic heads.
I think this is just a tactic to make us forget that the old faces are getting offsale, and the animated ones are paid, so…
alright, so will they remake every single face as 3d on the roblox platform? if so, then the community may not be as angry

Well, it still doesn’t change the fact that dynamic faces are priced higher than their classic face counterparts. It’s still going to discourage users, both old and new, from buying them.
Yeah if they were free in classic, they should be free now imo.
Let’s hope this is the case, because preserving the obtainability of classic faces Is a must.
they should however make ALL offsale 2d faces like limited or have a huge worth, and as ive stated they should remake all 2d faces like know it all grin, big grin smile(with yellow blush), in 3d, etc
Considering how Roblox wiped their blogs which contained classic articles, not sure if preserving their history is their first priority for Roblox’s Staffs.
