Seems like head refinement might be coming soon? Roblox just added this UI to the universal app’s avatar editor that allows you to change the shape of your head.
It doesn’t work with Dynamic Heads yet, so currently this is no different to just selecting a different head under Head & Body > Classic Heads.
Really hoping they’ll actually add a Classic/Dynamic toggle similar to what was shown in that prototype of the head refinement editor a couple years ago, to switch between the Classic/Dynamic versions of a face.

It will most likely be added in the near future, we’ll just have to wait
also the default head icon seems to be faceless lol
While it’s good people are reuploading the old designs, pretty much all of these have cage meshes that aren’t made for the default head shape, so layered accessories won’t fit them properly.
They also get deleted CONSTANTLY, sometimes over fake limiteds. Their moderation seems to be in a weird place.
roblox honestly just wants to kill their game, please the investors while going bankrupt on top of it. They can’t even do good events without having “badge collecting simulator” is what these EVENTS FEEL LIKE! Bro like it’s annoying, I wanna collect hats not badges! Honestly, I don’t think this company can last 5 years without going bankrupt where they’re heading so many of the classic community quit, now roblox has a bad reputation for a weird cash grab with a bunch of child preds then maybe they’ll listen for once.

Also, Classic Heads that are available under the standalone head shape editor aren’t available here, so stuff like “Blockhead”, “Cheeks”, etc. You also can’t find these under “Heads” in the Marketplace anymore…
Pretty confusing change, but I think this is what might be happening:
Classic Heads that support Classic Faces are becoming known as “head shapes”.
All heads that don’t support Classic Faces are now just “Heads”, whether they’re dynamic, classic, whatever.
Perhaps they’re officially expanding their definition of “Heads” to include ALL types of heads, whether they support facial animation or not.
Before, “Heads” just used to refer to Dynamic Heads, and Classic Heads were intentionally separated, but since the vast majority of UGC Dynamic Heads don’t support facial animation, it’s kind of misleading.
Have they just given up? Can we have Classic Faces back now?
Side note: Classic Faces should still have their own category; they’re not heads. This is just going to make it so much harder to find them.
Hopefully this means they’re finally finishing up the update that was supposed to unify Classic Faces and Dynamic Heads, rather than keeping them separate. Probably not though.
hey mackenzie! u r always super active here, I thought you might know the answer to this question… do u know if creators r permitted to use the classic & cheeks meshes, as long as they change them into their own creation? tysm in advance!
