We need better security to prevent underaged users

It’s a legal requirement. Also I would like to point out that people who are underaged aren’t suitable to develop for others on roblox.

Being under 13 isn’t a crime, but lying that you’re 13+ to get on an age restricted website or job is.

I’ve got a great idea. This might not work for a lot of people, but where I live, you get a student ID when you go to sixth grade, and most sixth graders are 13, so upon getting their ID, they can verify their age and join the dev forum with no problem.

This thread is actually really funny. Been sitting here chuckling at the responses LOL

Theres pretty much no real way to “prevent” someone who is underage from accessing the site and then onto the DevForum. Unless, they made the forum 17+ and required ID verification to access it. But this has an obvious flaw, it restricts 13-16 year old developers from accessing a pretty important developing tool that is the DevForum.

id verification is like email verification, don’t suggest that, and people will fake it using many methods

do you think underaged users should be allowed if they are actually interested in coding and not goofing around?

There’s other factors that’re at play other than ‘interest.’ Like the content that’s posted (usually moderation related) by users in private categories, as well as language (but that’s not really a problem here). There’s likely some other reasons as well, but I’m not the moderators so I don’t know what those could be
