Hi,
So in December we released our game Tile Run which is a take on spleef with special abilities and cosmetics, however something just isn’t working. We need help all-around, with monetization, session playtime, and player retention

Monetization
Here’s what we’re currently doing for monetization, and what we have in the works:
Game passes:
- Special ability (allows you to randomly swap positions with a user, we’re planning on adding a push one in the future
- VIP (gives you a chat tag and 30% XP boost)
- 2nd ability slot
- Double money
Devproducts:
- Money (500, 1,000, 2,500, 10,000)
- Unlock all abilities for a certain duration (15m, 30m, 1h, 4h)
- Double XP for a certain duration (same as above)
- Event/modifier rounds (gives rounds certain traits like fog, disco, low gravity, etc)
- Purchase abilities with Robux
- Donation
- Ability to troll users
- Special crate for special cosmetics
Our statistics, the large spikes come from when we used Roblox ads, pretty sure we’re still in a net negative when it comes to money in vs money out
Session playtime and retention
Here’s what we’re currently trying to improve session playtime:
- Spectating (also allows you to troll users)
- Things to do in the lobby while waiting for a new round to start (mini spleef, obbies that require abilities)
- Leaderboards in the lobby to give some motivation for players to win rounds, break tiles, etc
- Quick but descriptive tutorial
- Localization
- Cosmetics
Our immediate plans for session playtime:
- Ghost spectate to allow players to do something while in the lobby
Our statistics (again the large spikes come from when games were advertised):
Audience statistics:
Here’s what we’re currently trying to improve retention
- Daily and group rewards
- Leaderboards
- Abilities players have to work towards
- Localization
- Cosmetics players have to work towards
Our immediate plans for retention:
- Quests (complete an obby, break x amount of tiles, place in the top 5, claim x amount of daily rewards etc)
Our statistics:
I’m posting this on behalf of the team I work with, statistics aren’t my strong suit so let me know if there’s anything I’m missing or if there’s any more information I can provide.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
