Hi and good morning/afternoon/evening, currently on the DevForum we know that there the flag feature that allows you to remove posts, but if I flag it and I want to unflag it I’m not able to, so if this was implemented it would help a lot
Why would you need to unflag something? The flag button is hidden behind at least 3 buttons.
Because maybe someone edits their post? I don’t know, it’s just that sometimes an unwanted flag may happen
I got warned for accidentally flagging myself, I think implementing this would be good for me
I don’t think this should be a feature. If this is an issue for you then you should just think twice about when you flag.
There have been a couple of times where I’ve flagged a post for being in the wrong category, but then it would get moved a few minutes afterwards, thus making my flag invalid.
However, there was a post about this a year or two ago and (AFAIR) this likely won’t be implemented because a flag becoming void after you created it doesn’t necessarily harm you in any way (as long as you’re not false flagging).
Sorry I don’t understand, why would it?
Also I don’t know how to post there
I just did a bit more digging and it seems that it can be enabled on the forum (according to a discourse topic) without the use of discourse intervention, so just ignore that part.
Sorry but I can’t understand you
Discourse is the forum software that Roblox uses. Some aspects of the forum are beyond Roblox’s control and must be brought up with the company that makes Discourse in the official Discourse forums. According to his second post, that’s not the case here.
Here’s a link to Discourse’s forum though just for reference.
This definitely isn’t medium priority. No reason at all to unflag… if it was a mistake, then staff will just ignore it.
I prefer to think that there are enough intermittent steps after clicking the flag button before its actually submitted to prevent accidental clicks.
Others also are correct that if the flag is invalid, then there’s no recourse to worry about from the mod team.
