We still can't add our games to our profiles after Roblox randomly removes them

About a year ago this was a huge problem, and I was surprised to find it to still be around.

Add to profile does nothing sometimes. Roblox randomly removed all of the games from my profile last week, and I was able to add all of my games back except my 4 newest. It doesn’t matter what OS or browser I use. From phones to desktops. It’s been 7 days of jumping through different hoops with zero results.

I’m unable to display and present my own games on my own profile. This has to be fixed.

After one week and countless tries, I still can’t add my recent games to my profile. These games are losing a ton of exposure.

AGREE. I have had the issue occur in the past, but countless others have mentioned this happening to them. I still think the idea to not immediately show a profile’s games or a game from that user (along with user info on same page) is something to look at too if this bug is reviewed.

Better yet, why don’t we just replace this poorly conceived system with a simple drag and drop so things like this don’t happen again!

I miss the days of just clicking on someones profile to see all their games.

I wonder if they kept the code from their drag and drop system. They used to have one, but apparently there were ‘better’ things.

What a glorious time that must have been.

ROBLOX’s decision to ignore these profile page issues has been extremely disappointing.

I’m calling it a decision because there’s no way they haven’t seen the countless threads reporting the same bugs again and again over the course of a few months. They’re just flat out refusing to acknowledge or fix them.

If I’m mistaken and these actually are being internally documented somewhere, the web team should reply to these threads so that we know what on earth is going on!

In either case, though, I think it’s inexcusable for a site as big as ROBLOX to leave such a key page in a broken state for months on end, with no word on when it will ever be fixed.

Yet they were all too eager to go and redesign the profile page as a whole in order to “fix” it, leaving it in a state of arbitrary organization that’s entirely unintuitive.

It’s been how many months with this new design and I still can’t find a person’s inventory on the first try.

I think it’s great to redesign things entirely but something a handful of developers, players, and administration alike need to realize is that fixing something doesn’t always mean redesigning it or changing it entirely. New profiles have potential to be favorited and great, but I feel the redesign was a misstep. Going back onto main topic, the ability to hide or show projects is great, but why is it loosely made? I feel like the activation/deactivation and ‘add to profile’ tools are quirky acting altogether sometimes.

Can we get official word on this and the possibility of it being fixed? It’s been almost two weeks now with a couple dozen likes on this post and we still don’t know much. Approaching three weeks now with games missing from my profile that I just can’t get added.

I’ve got to bump this. I’ve got games I still can’t place on my profile. No word on a fix.

Which places can you not add to your profile? I’ll investigate.

At the moment, it’s these few games, which also happen to be my newest.

I’m also definitely not alone when it comes to this issue.

We don’t have a nice system that lets us easily re-arrange what shows up on our profiles. So I have to de-activate every game, and then re-activate in a specific order. This is when I run into trouble. At a certain point, it seems my profile just won’t accept any more games.

Also when we “Add to Profile” games, it’d be nice to have some sort of…feedback from the website. At the moment the website doesn’t tell me if the game has been actually added to my profile. This leaves me questioning which games did or did not show up on my profile.

It’d be also great to one day allow group games on our profiles. I’d love to have Volt on there. Volt - Roblox

Thanks Merely!

There’s a limit to the maximum number of showcases, which is 20. Looks like you will have to remove some old games. I filed a usability bug for the fact that we’re not giving an error message when you try to exceed the limit.

EDIT: We may be able to increase the limit, stay tuned next week.

This doesn’t quite make sense? Are you guys checking titles or descriptions to prevent too many showcase games from reaching my profile?

Basically, why is there a limit?

Limit of 100 places for OBC, but you can only showcase 20? If that’s going to be an actual limitation can you add better usability tools so we can order them properly?

EDIT: Clarification, the ability to show games on profiles that isn’t the showcase part is broken for me not the slider.

There should absolutely not be a limit of how many games you can display on your profile. When I sign up for BC/TBC/OBC, we are signing up profile place slots. It has always been this way.

Right, I’m talking about the Slider, so this:

because it would be unintuitive to slide through 100 places. This should absolutely not have a limit:

EDIT: I’m still astounded there isn’t an easy way to reorganize placement.

Increased the limit to 42. Keep in mind that the creations cache for a few minutes, so clicking Add to Profile will take a bit for it to register. I’ve filed a bug for this.

After four years, this still hasn’t been fixed. New games don’t appear on your profile anymore, making it difficult for users who are interested in playing my games but don’t know how to check my inventory for my places. There isn’t an option to add games to your profile anymore, and new users only have their starter place listed on their games.
