Wearing models as hats

I saw a post about this on the ROBLOX forums. Apparently this guy, is wearing this model on his head. No idea how this is possible, but he’s doing it.

He’s character isn’t rendering for me.

It’s loaded for me. He’s wearing a fedora and the white hair model he has.

Negative. He is wearing Beautiful Hair for Beautiful People, but the texture failed to load so it rendered as grey. I checked his accoutrements. I’ve seen this sort of thing a few other times - like a face failing to load.

agh beat me to it

To add on to this, the model is likely just him trying to grab attention by pretending he’s wearing the model.

And to clarify for future readers - this bug is not worth fixing. It happens very infrequently for users. There are plenty of models which have invalid images which won’t load, and re-rendering them on the off-chance that the image failed to load would be a huge waste.

Not to bump this since it’s been mended, but you can tell that it’s a simple bug (and not some exploit) because if you see his character thumbnail on the model, the texture loaded properly, but on his profile it did not.

He doesn’t own the hat though.

  1. It’s on the first page of his hats
  2. http://api.roblox.com/Ownership/HasAsset?userId=46509443&assetId=16630147 return true
  3. What more proof do you need?

Darn, I kinda wanted to wear a tank on my head
