This is a badge given to every single person the instant they join the game. 100% of players who play while this badge is in effect get the badge, yet the percentage says only 0.02% of players do, and mark this instantly earned freebie as an “Insane” badge.
Here is another badge that is not instantly given but is given to anyone who actually engages with the game. If you play for more than 5 minutes, you will get this badge:
Only 0.23% of all players stay for 5 minutes? And a higher percent of people stay for 5 minutes than the 100% of people who join the game with the other badge?
All badges on ROBLOX seem to have these insanely low percentages. Please fix this so that the rarity of the badge has something to do with how easy it is for people to get it.
Note that currently (afaik) the percentages are based per-visit. If you get 100 visits on a game, but only 20 of those users are new, then the percentage of the “welcome” badge is 20%.
They could change it so it’s based on the amount of unique visitors, but that would require a lot of extra data for each place to be stored, because you have to keep track of all the userIds that played a specific game.
Idea: let the creator of the game set the rarity of the badges, or remove rarity altogether.
Was just gonna post about this. It looks like the rarity is not being multiplied by 100 to display a correct % value, which is why they all appear so low. Example:
This is a badge for my game that received ~190k visits yesterday. Rarity is the number of badges awarded yesterday divided by the total number of visits yesterday. 38,670 / 190,000 is just about 0.21, but that value isn’t being multiplied by 100 to display the correct percentage of 21% on the website.
