I’ve always had trouble with the chat system on the website. A lot of the time when I receive a IM from a user or from a party, I will hear the notification sound, but I see no new message. This forces me to refresh the page to see the new message. has anyone experienced this issue? It would be nice to have the chat update be more reliable so that I don’t have to refresh the page for every message I receive. This has been around for as long as I can remember using the chat system.

Yeah – I blocked party/chat completely because it’s annoying, clunky, etc. I just tell everyone to either Skype/PM me.

I believe this happens when you have more than one Roblox tab open. Party chat isn’t that great, It was added then neglected.

11 would be cool, because it would allow you to invite up to 10 friends, a nice sized party group.
5 friends right now currently feel a bit restricting. I am having to invite a few people, get them into the game, kick them from the party and then invite the rest.
I want to measure what the average instance size is across famous games and make an informed decision based on that. So no promises. Currently I am leaning towards a party size of 6 which is the default instance size.
Though, I will probably end up making it 20 or something like that.

Perhaps 20 could be a BC only feature, and the default is 6? I think that’d actually work very well for you guys, as it’s another incentive to buy BC.
My personal preference would be not to charge for parties. But that’s not a final decision.

If it means anything, I also use parties to muster up tester groups for game developing.
To see new messages on Roblox, I always have to refresh and then Roblox takes half a minute to load. It is very hard for me to chat with others and ruins the experience. This is the same with chat parties, Group Walls, and notifications. This glitch has been around for me since September and has never ended since then. I hope Roblox fixes this glitch soon. Thanks!
I’d hardly call your issue a bug if it takes half a minute to load Roblox anyways.
Also in your response, you was talking about chat parties but they haven’t existed since 2018.

Please file a new descriptive bug report for new issues (the chat system in 2014 is likely very different from the current version)
