Can we have a system by which links to game content on sites that can’t be corrupted or show inappropriate content (like Trello) can be used if first passed through a moderation system? Control has an entire wiki made for it, and a very elaborate trello board, but both were taken down because of the anti-link policy, so I now need to share the links with people via skype, so much less of my users know I have these resources
I now get tons of messages asking me stuff that’s already explained in the trello and the wiki, and I would like to be able to link them to these resources so that I can both get contributors for the wiki, and not need to talk about topics that are already explained in depth.
Artists would also like to share examples of their work, and Decals/Thumbnails don’t really do justice for this if it’s a whole screen image, and while a scripter could make a gallery for them ingame, it still is not readily visible on their profile.
That’s why I’m hoping it will be a whitelist system, where users are reviewed like in DevEx to see if they should be allowed to post links. It’s a bit of a stretch, I know, but there should be some level of trust that can allow devs to do dev stuff. We are professionals after all
That, or a Roblox made trello and image gallery would be lovely things.
I never said that i was against it, i just simply re say what others has said earlier.
I don’t like having the links nerfed, but roblox is still a game for kids.
Twitter is at least slightly moderated, same with allowed Youtube links. Imgur and Trello aren’t as much.
I’m pretty sure @Weeve can link to their Trello through their Twitter profile link on Roblox. It’s an extra step but hey you might get Twitter Likes and Impressions or something. woo
I don’t want to have to maintain a twitter, as social media is against my nature. It’s not a bad idea to have one of my moderators make a twitter and maintain it for me though.
I still want to be able to post links and have them reviewed, this is somewhat silly that I can’t post my dev resources.
I didn’t say anything else, did I? Just stating the facts.
I think the difference it makes is intelligible. When moderation sets in the damage is already done. Enough people have seen whatever was rule breaking.
Even if you’re in a protection service program you can probably make a twitter, tweet the trello link/link it in the bio, then forget about it & refer the users to the twitter profile, right?
I would love this, I’ve been banned so many times for posting offsite links that are 100% Roblox related… I’ve seen a lot of inappropriate stuff on Twitter, and twitch is full of 18+ stuff, same with youtube. Pastebin, Imgur, and deviantart would be allowed. Just moderate what it links to.
