WebView2 Installation Required

This question doesn’t fit any specific category (thatI have access to), editors can change the category to something else.

This apparently is something that was changed last night for me when I tried to open studio

I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do. I’ve installed and tried to run basically every file their website offered

I also don’t know what “WebView2” is supposed to do.
All help is appreciated.

Website that studio links with “WebView2” text:

You shouldn’t have to install this. Reinstall studio itself or run in administrator mode which sometimes helps. I just updated studio and got no issues.

Thanks! Run as admin worked for me.

It appears that I am not able to run this on Windows 11 because it just shows the same message. I’ll reinstall Studio and see what happens.

EDIT: I tried it. Still doesn’t work.

Run as admin worked for me (run as admin every time you want to open it which is annoying)

Bumping this topic.
I’ve tried reinstalling studio, running in admin and restarting my PC altogether. None have worked.

Try to remove Roblox folder from Program Files(x86) and launch studio from AppData. It’s helped to me. Also if you updated studio as Admin you can run RobloxStudioBeta and skip part of giving admin perms

It happened to me once, and the reason was very weird. It was because I had a warning I didn’t see on the website. So instead of studio saying I have a warning, it says WebView2 isn’t installed. So cool.
