Weekly Recap: February 24 - 28, 2025

Hypocritical might not be the exact word to describe you but it’s weird you’re speaking for other people while you can’t even say what they “appreciate” about these underwhelming weekly recaps.

I know people who appreciate these recaps.

So why do you struggle to explain what’s to appreciate?

Your very impulsive, aren’t you?

Not at all and I don’t see what’s the relevancy of being impulsive to this discussion. I just don’t like that people like you paint a bad situation as a good one. These weekly recaps are underwhelming and Roblox fails to listen to their developer community and if there was something to appreciate about them I’d be one of the first to jump to Roblox’s defense. They need to do better. Don’t sugar coat things unecessarily.

You acted very impulsive. Calling my words hypocritical and jumping to conclusions. Seems pretty impulsive to me. And how is this situation exactly, “bad”?

As I said not the exact word I was looking for and it’s not relevant at all to this discussion anyway.
The weekly recaps are underwhelming, what we get from Roblox is underwhelming, we don’t get staff attention to important issues and feature requests it’s not sunshine and rainbows. At least if these weekly recaps had good updates in them but not even that, it’s all just filler text, useless updates and overall a joke at our expense.

I don’t know how to go on forward with this. We may have opposing opinions, it’s okay. You take it how you want, and I take it how I want.

Fair enough, you’re entitled to your opinion and I’m to mine :+1:

Yes it was intentional! But that’s a good idea Re: sectioning them. Gonna share with the team!

Glad to see yall come to a resolution - Just a friendly reminder to be respectful of everyones opinion on the forum. Everyone’s experience on the forum is unique and need to be mindful of that :slightly_smiling_face:

hey yall!

I see your comments regarding the content of the weekly recap.

Some weeks will have exciting updates, while others might not. Honestly, I wish every week had exciting updates, and we could just share that. But we still have a responsibility to keep our community informed about what we can.

That said, we’re constantly looking for ways to improve the weekly recap and we may experiment with its release schedule. Please keep sharing any feedback you have - our team is listening!

I hope what you’re saying is true Bluff (:skull: your name doesn’t help your case). I want to believe you’re listening to our feedback, wants and needs but the truth is we don’t get that transparency at all.

Respectfully just chill out, we all want stuff to be added

I don’t even think his job has anything related to the implementation of features

I’m pretty sure dev relations is incharge of exactly that. (making sure we get what we need)

gng what are you even on about atp this is such a non-issue

Ok here’s an example, find me a single staff response about the wildly requested ingame join group prompt feature.

There are more prominent features that have been requested by more & for longer, #feature-requests doesn’t really serve as anything more than ‘suggestions’ as it stands. Regardless of what you think about how #feature-requests is handled (which is a valid criticism for the record), continuously posting about a feature under weekly-recaps which are completely unrelated, won’t really serve any purpose, neither do I believe these staff members have any sole decision-making power to magically approve your request.

Staff on other posts have previously mentioned how a feature-request thread with no staff acknowledgement does not mean they haven’t seen it, sure it’d be nice to get some form of response from the official teams, but I’m sure there are more than often reasons for why that isn’t the case.

We’re talking about many posts made about the topic with the biggest one having more than 400 likes.
This feature has been requested for more than a decade and is supposed to be a basic core feature that should’ve been released with the creation of groups and got 0 staff acknowledgement that has been transparent to us yet.
You’re right, there are more features like this one that are massively needed and wanted and are not addressed by Roblox.
Roblox is more focused on adding disappointing useless features than listening to their dev communtiy and that’s a problem.
This is my way to get attention to the issue when the traditional channels which suppose to do so fail.

Transparency is important. Sounds like an excuse to me.

I fail to see a reason or justification for a lack of transparency regarding feature requests.
