Weird blender bevel issue

So I was just trying to model something, and this weird bug popped up.

The image shows a basic cube that has been inset on one face then extruded. The object is blue because I have face orientation on and scale has been applied on the object, yet when I adjust the bevel weight on the end of the model, it has major problems figuring out how to properly bevel the end of the model. Is there any way I can fix this?

I would recommend beveling manually with control b and doing separate parts separately.

If it’s an actual bug, you should report it to blender.org with the instructions on how to reproduce it.

I would do that, however I like the ability to be able to adjust size, vertices, and other stuff on the fly, without having to either make a clone every time I do it or use some sort of addon.

See that’s the thing, I cannot tell whether or not it is a bug, as blender has a ton of things that effect bevels and other modifiers and I might just be missing something.
