Weird glitches on custom player's head?

so i made this lil custom bear character by just making the character shorter and swapping out the default roblox head with my custom bear head mesh and then putting the face decal but now when i walk through fire or go behind glass (or any partly transparent parts) it causes these weird effects. how do i fix this?

fire goes behind the head even though the head is directly above the torso and not any further forward

the head doesn’t appear to have any glitches when not parented to the character

this is the character

and this is the character’s head files
any ideas on how to fix ? thanks for any help :love_you_gesture:

Its because of how Roblox Studio renders glass. Decals, beams, etc. become invisible when you look at them through the glass material. You could try changing it to a texture in the actual MeshPart

ok so the head doesn’t disappear when i do that but the texture doesn’t show. not sure if i have to make a special texture to fit the mesh or what

i found an even weirder problem. if i set the material to smoothplastic instead of glass the head looks totally unaffected by the wall instead of being invisible. SmoothPlastic on the right, in front of the character
