Weird lighting black aura around parts


There is this weird black aura around these parts that I have placed. I am using the Voxel lighting engine There is no black aura on the back of the parts though. I was wondering if that is just a studio visual bug or not.

I’m pretty sure that’s just the shadows.

Those are shadows, I’m guessing the top image is when you were running the game in studio.

I have global shadows turned off and the lighting settings are set to normal. When I run the game in studio and when I am looking at it in studio. I don’t really mind the aura being there. I was just curious on why it was there

This is screen-space ambient occlusion. It shades crevices and only appears on graphics level 10

The reason why it doesn’t appear on the other side is because it’s too far away from the ground to actually produce any shading so SSAO doesn’t shade there
