Weird Mesh Shadow

Greetings,
I’m a very small developer who enjoys making UGC Concepts and I’m seeking help with a little problem I have.

I’m trying to create a Halloween based UGC hat concept.

Whenever I try and move it on to a dummy to get a preview of what it looks like. And then it appears as it has a strange shadow circled around my mesh.


(The weird shadow is the dark grey on the mesh)

So Far I have tried to make a hole underneath the mesh so that It can be placed on the head.
That didn’t make a change to this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try parenting the mesh to the character’s model. I’ve discovered that the humanoid in a character model can actually have some weird effects on meshparts when they don’t have the same parent.
