Hey, I’m Prostranskii.
I’ve been doing graphics for a while, and I’ve always had this problem; figured I might as well ask about it here.
When I render someone on Blender, they have these weird lines / outlines on the render
Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

I think that is for the clothing, but usually when I render it. They do not show… But, can you send a picture of your settings?
Could be the resolution, yours is at 100% while i only used 50% and made this.
The resolution could be doing something to the clothing texture…
More detailed screenshot of my settings for this render here;
I use Blender 2.79 aswell.

show an image of the wireframe of that shoulder
maybe you are using the edge split or you have not removed doubles.
idk if you just exported the character direct from studio or is custon made.
because when you export the models direct from roblox they come hella heavy and broken
with edge split on all triangles.
how do you remove doubles again? i haven’t rendered in a long time and im just getting back into it lol

Find and click “Remove Doubles” under the tool tab to the left of the viewport or by selecting Mesh > Vertices > Remove Doubles from the bottom menu.
there is also a shortcut that if i remenber is W, it will bring up the menu
do that with the vertices that you want to remove doubles
sorry if anything is whrong i use blender 2.8
i just did that and i still got the lines (on a different obj)
It has to do with the Roblox clothing, nothing with blender. Also blender has their own forums so don’t ask things about blender on here.
this is “art design support” though?
edit: this also happens with every piece of clothing, so i doubt it’s something that always happens

Well, i don’t know what these 2 tabs are. I’ve never used them before and didn’t need them for anything.
Maybe just try resetting the Blender settings to default and stop using those tabs to render from now on, something on them might be what’s causing this.
i’m pretty sure you’re mistaking… you need the top left tab to actually texture your render
Oh, i probably use a different method then.
Still, it’s a good idea to reset all your settings to default. You might’ve toggled something that’s the cause of this.

you should try the new blenders blender 2.8 and above
the EEVE renderer is so much better than the 2.79.
and why you dont send a .blend file here in the chat so people can look up.
