Weird Roblox Studio lag

Hi everyone, after updating Roblox Studio yesterday I’ve started encountering this weird lag spike that happens every few seconds or so. MicroProfiler says that it’s a bunch of RBX Worker Jobs calling sleep for 600-800ms… This happens both in Test mode and Edit mode. Does anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?

I’ve tried clearing the Roblox cache, re-installing Roblox Studio, disabling plugins, setting all Studio settings to default, but nothing seems to have fixed it.

Specs:
GPU: Geforce RTX 4070 SUPER
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8-Cores
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
Storage: 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD

Oddly enough, it stops lagging when there are more than 1 Roblox Studio projects open at once.

yeah im having the exact same problem too with an rx 6600 it stops happening randomly and then comes back again

Yeah me too! mine happens when I’m in editor mode, but when I play test it seems fine. I have an rtx 4070

Apparently found a solution to this problem.

In the MicroProfiler, the GPU Wait time periodically skyrocketed up to 700-800 ms, which was the cause of my lag.

Go to graphics settings and turn “Optimizations for windowed games” to off. Courtesy of this dev forum post Large GPU Wait Time.
