Heyo.
I’m making idle animations for PB, the mascot of a 3D platformer I’m making called PB & Jay. I’m not the best at animation, but here’s what I got so far:
If you got any ideas for idle animations, I’d love to hear it. The mascot is a pig with wings btw.
are you going for just like a normal idle that plays the whole your just standing still if you want that then maybe you could just do a normal bouncing animation
but if you want like an action to play if your idle for to long or something than maybe the pig could be kicking the ground like its bored or maybe it would be flapping its winges trying to fly
anyways ill add more ideas if i come up with some hope this helps!
I haven’t quite gotten around to it, but I plan to add a breathing animation or something subtle to run most of the time.
As of right now, after the player is idle for 5 to 15, one of two animations will play. I’d like to have maybe 5 or so in total for varieties sake. Really looking for actions the character could do. Most mascots in the genre are 2 legged and stand up, not much to draw from other than Spyro.
I like the trying to fly thing. I’ve already got a wing flap thing going on. Really just throwing ideas at a wall to see if they stick currently.
