Hello developers. I’d like to test some ways of getting users into a Roblox game. Right now, I am unsure of what I should do in order to gain users.
Promoting a game on social media (such as YouTube, TikTok, etc) can be quite tricky. Even if the videos did well in driving users to the game they were promoting, the algorithms of those platforms would still likely punish those videos due to users leaving their platforms afterwards.
Sponsoring a game with robux could work but it’s a huge risk. Plus, there’s no guarantee if the game will still keep gaining players (whether through being recommended, or found by search) after the sponsor. I also don’t know how much robux should be spent in order for it to be effective.
Friend invites and rewarding players for playing with their friends could work, but it requires there to already be players to start with. Same thing for recommended games. Same thing for search.
Any smarter ways to acquire users? Engagement, retention and monetisation are their own story.
