(I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this.)
When I saw the Piggy Head in the UGC catalog yesterday, I joked about being able to upload a Silver the Hedgehog hat, since Piggy is obviously based on Peppa Pig. Then this made we wander to the dream of being a UGC creator one day, with my first item being based on Whisper the Wolf’s (IDW Sonic) trademark mask.

Of course I’m not gonna use the fan’s model because that would be stealing. I’m gonna model the mask from scratch. What are the chances of the mask being copyright striked and eventually content deleted on Roblox? Roblox officially has two hats based off South Park, a hair based off Street Fighter, a face accessory based off Harry Potter, and many more (link to Reddit), yet a UGC hat based off JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure and one based off Spongebob Squarepants were content deleted. There are several UGC items which are based off copyrighted properties, such as the aforementioned Piggy Head, this Miku-styled hair, and four items based off JoJo, and are still in the catalog safe and ready to be bought. Perhaps they’re different or generic enough to not be struck by copyright.
Should I keep the mask like it is originally? Or should I recolor it? Remove the ears or replace them with dog ears? Make a mask based off Mimic’s or one of the Diamond Cutter’s instead? Create a mask for a hypothetical sixth Diamond Cutter member?
