To establish a playerbase, your game first needs to be recognized. We’re creating a mining tycoon, highly influenced by games like “Epic Mining 2”. Due to there not being a major playerbase for these types of experiences (in my opion), what ways can my co-developer and I market and expand our games audience?
I understand that ads and sponsorships can bring recognization, but which social media apps will help gain and create a dedicated playerbase? Which is more cost-effective?
Best idea is to use TikTok and YouTube for making content about your game, or getting roblox content creators to play your game, bringing people to it.
Every social media is suitable for marketing as long as you know your demographic. If you are targeting all demographics, I think using as many social media as possible is best. Additionally, it is not just about making your advertisement eye-catching, but also authentic. Some game companies ignore this, but I believe it is better if you can highlight what your game has to offer.
