You need that guy who sells insurance right? And you need that other guy to make sure that people have a need to buy it, if ya know what i mean pal.

Quick, someone, obtain the rights for that!

I’ve been making more progress on my large scale tactical FPS game called “Fireteam”. (Inspired by Squad and ArmA)
I’ve been doing a lot of work on atmosphere, a new map, etc. I got a few screenshots to show off the day night cycle as well as a bit of the characters.

The third picture looks pretty sweet.

Amazing stuff you’ve got there but found something that you might wanna fix:

Those a gaps between the triangles in the terrain. You’ve probably noticed this but, personally I think those gaps need to disappear (looks cleaner, less likely things gonna glitch through the map via gap, etc)

You should try getting the trees in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th pictures similar to those of the 7th picture. Consistent style makes the game look nicer. Or the other way around.

I guess I have to go through all my weapons and make low poly versions now. 1 down, too many to go.

Low poly gun is 942 triangles total, 8 unions.

Yeah but different “biomes” could have different types of trees (assuming there’s something like that in the game)

i.e. pine forest area and an oak forest area in different locations.

That’s true, but for one instance he used a mesh for the whole tree, and the other he used bricks for the whole tree. Style needs to be consistent.

But using that logic, you should make the whole map either mesh or brick.

As long as the different types of tree aren’t mixed up in the same forest, one wouldn’t really notice that.

Looks like a part of BF1 rubbed off on you.

I’ve been wanting to design a cool looking building for a while and today I found an excuse to do it and I’m working on a cafe.

You can also find more pics here

That looks very familiar…

I guess we both used this reference image.

EDIT: what place it that that you have a picture of?

It’s for a new game I’m working on. Why do you ask?

Also, I used the exact picture you posted, I just couldn’t find it. :stuck_out_tongue:
