RV with randomly generated names!
A Bird-class loco pulling a rake of 6 Dean 4-wheel composite coaches, circa 1913.
A close-up of the suspension of the Dean 4-wheel composites.
Although meshes are king, CSG can still make some nice stuff. Now, if CSG simplified its surfaces, that would be nice.
huh, well now that’s interesting. i go to post about what i’m working on, and it’s pretty much exactly the same as yours.
WARNING: image heavy
(modeling in blender, then importing to roblox)
but i don’t quite have the level as you do… at all…
but i’ve got variety!
(i just realized that the locomotive above is almost identical to my t3 i did months ago…)
g12 for scale
made a bunch of matching carriages for it too
end goal: train tycoon.
i was wondering, where do you get reference images for those small details?
I think perhaps the last camos I’ll ever sell on Kinetic Code: America (red/white stripes, forgot to take a pic), Void (purple thing), Snow (those snowflakes), and Green Skull. All of them are paid for with R$ except for snow.
Going to be updating the GUI soon™ to use crates and trading instead of buying with actual robux.
So yeah, finally got around to adding a few of them in-game. Click view details (1440p):
Snow:
Green Skull:
Void (Costs 60% less than gold camo but worth more/prettier than gold camo itself imo):
Its a combination of googling and luck. A preservation society has restored a few of the coaches that I modeled in various states of preservation and angles. Another website has the overall dimensions and wheelbase and side view. You then have to piece them together and fill in the gaps with your best guess when necessary.
Updated my spectrogram o.o

I’m just curious how you got the mesh deform on the cape in roblox…
unless you just animated it in blender, and put it over an empty baseplate in roblox…
well how about that
it does say that
All that aside, my school has a motion capture studio where you can wear a suit and record your movement with incredible realism. I got inspired by this and started practicing it with open source .bvh animated armatures on roblox characters.
Also thanks Caleb
That’s neat.
Wanna do some Kinetic Code taunts
Perhaps when .fbx/.bvh animation importing is supported
Looks like it’s time for me to jump on the train.
you see, this is the post where, i’d post some random 3D gif or video, because we’re on that topic.
but i’ve not slept in 24 hours…
that being said… have a weird 3d video
[details=fair warning, it’s weird]I’m seriously warning you
you were warned
april fools
oh, i thought that little cake thing meant it was their birthday…
TMYK
Quaternions + IK + R15 =
Fun fact, /e laugh is almost a good shooting gun animation… if I were to use animations

Next up is probably… making hands rotate to where they are supposed to be. Currently the IK doesn’t solve for Hands. They just kind of stick on the end of LowerArm (which is solved).
EDIT: I can move the arms wherever I want.

If I wasn’t using mesh, I could add a smooth elbow thing like this.
Neat.
I’ve seen like 3 of these R15 gun rigs, curious to see who will release their game first/come out on top.
i’m not sure why this is a reply to me .-.
