Good luck on turning over 4k unions/parts into meshes 
Isn’t there some kind of automatic button 2 do it for you in blender? 
(someone make one pls)
there is not. but imported to blender, joining to one mesh, and separating by material will get you down to much more manageable pieces.
Still, it would be good to optimize triangles a bit, simple “transformation” into MeshParts won’t help in anything

We came from massive computers with 256 bit ram to hand held devices with 4-32 gb ram. We can do this, some day…
