What are you working on currently? (2017)

Only time I use them is in floor designs or bricks? But anyhow I like how it looks, very unique to your building style.

You can disable that…

I’m well aware of the color3. I use it. I’m referring to this shift.

I know  i am working on it these days

Yeah, I knew what you were referring to. I meant if you liked those colors more, you can manually set them back to that with Color3. If that’s too much work, leave outlines enabled but set all your parts to SmoothNoOutlines on all but one face – no outlines, but you keep the color you prefer. This is something that’s easy to do with the command line or plugin if you’re looking to convert your existing place.

Or I could keep the outlines and build how I want. I’m sick of this every single time I post.

I don’t see anyone suggesting you remove them – no need to be edgy. If you don’t like the responses you get, then you don’t have to post about it.

If you don’t want feedback then don’t post? People are going to post their opinions. That’s the whole point of the thread.

Because it’s never “Hey, that looks good!”, or “I’m not sure about X, maybe…”, no. It’s always “Turn off outlines. Forever.”

Albeit a bit more in the discord.

Ok, but you don’t get to choose what other people post. Just like how they don’t get to choose if you use outlines or not.

Little picture of my current project, Halloween perhaps?

It’s true that everyone says that in discord, repetitively @Sharksie

I don’t mind the outlines at all, it’s a style. But that one wedge of the roof closest to the camera with the texture oriented the wrong way…

No fixing that, unfortunately. At least, not with a stock corner-wedge-part. Applying textures to any other side than the top ends up with the image being stretched out of proportion.

I’ve been using the built-in wedge part to make hip roof ends and I have not encountered this. The texture ends up on either the left or right face of the wedge, depending on how I want it oriented. This meant I could get away without needing a rotated copy of the texture. Like so:

Here’s what it looks like with the texture on the corresponding sides, rather than on the top of the corner wedge part. I could probably fix this by replacing it with two regular wedges, however.

There is a trick with to the corner wedge part, the U to V studs ratio has to match the side correctly. I put the same texture on a cornerwedge part, and I had to change the UV scales from 12 and 12, to 12 and 4 (4 is the height of the part) to get it to map correctly. The only reason I was using regular wedges is because I copy-pasted the roof from other parts of the building that actually have an attic, so the roof can’t be a solid cornerwedgepart.

Never would have worked that out on my own. Thanks for the help.
