What are you working on currently? (2017)

I’ve been playing around with animations lately for the monsters of the game we are working on with my dev team
Here is a pack of animations for one of our monsters (Current one: Freezer)

Is it alright or does it need some tweekings?

How’re you handling the camera shake? I have some cam-shake in my game and I’ve occasionally had players ask to be able to toggle it, as they get motion sickness, or something like it.
(I’d also consider increasing the time between each camera rotation and adding a tween, it’d still go up and down, but it would seem a bit smoother. You may already be doing this, but the gif and mp4 shows it jumping between)

It is some really basic rotation calculations applied to camera CFrame…
And in the game there is an option to toggle on or off camera shake of course.

It is fake q: Like not really fake… but it is not like you see in real games, i mean i use the blur effect while mouse input is moved, so yeah…

Here is a small gif showing you the effect:

and mp4 if you want:

And as a bonus here it is without the motion blur effect, it pretty much does its job isn’t it?

I always love your vignettes and showcases, they look spectacular.

I just feel like the proportions are too human for Roblox characters and it looks jarring.

The thing with motion blur is that it wouldn’t blur the player, since they are not moving relative to the camera. If you include this option, I would recommend keeping it really subtle for this reason, and not applied at all in first-person or VR (if first-person is an option). for more cool options though! FoV control is nice to have.

(this is why you play in first person)

@BlastB00M that movie theater reminds of an old (and long dead) abandoned project form 2011. If you could, put a hobo guest inside it sleeping next to an old dream filled movie poster and it’ll be lit.

The blur is pretty jarring, I think until roblox adds some more post processing effects you’re probably better off without it

The thing is, ROBLOX still doesnt let us do that :frowning:

To be honest, it is toggle option, if anybody doesnt like to have it they can simply turn it off. But i like it

People told me I can’t use a syringe in-game since it’s apparently a drug reference, so I’ll just use potions.
