Been working on the figurines in the clock on the grand staircase. Just finished the sculpting today. Now I have to retopologize and texture them.

Why go through so much sculpting when using a texture pretty much does the same thing? (considering its not that much of a 3d sculpture)

Weve tried making textures from images, and they look horrible. The images and too low quality and the best ones are copyrighted. Using textures from photos ruined the continuity of the rest of the hand built/textured meshes as it was very easy to tell that the texture did not match the rest (even after editing). To get the best quality and continuity, sculpting it all out is the way to go.

Expanding on that continuity thing. These figurines are going to be getting a wood texture, and that same wood texture is going to be found all across the ship. It helps it fit in more, something just using an image wont help.

I’m not sure if it’s just the way yours is rendered, but your version feels a little… flat compared to the original images.

but that might get fixed when you make the rest of the frame around it…

Giving credit, your build is based on this painting by Simon Stålenhag

One of my favorite works of art, it’s awesome seeing it built in roblox!

No mine is flat, its hard to sculpt a really 3d one unless your’re a professional sculpter which im not.
But sculpting the clock too flat is actually sin shared by other real life recreations.

Luckily because its a 3d program I can use tricks to make it more 3d.

I’ve been working mostly on updating the showcases and places on my profile, replacing old work with new models and just making them look better in general.

Though it is far from finished, I’m working on remaking “The Hallway” A pretty basic showcase I made a couple of years ago that I have updated and remade every so often.

As well as remaking one of my more random places, “Reflection”
[the product of me thinking “wow water is pretty” and “wow neon is pretty” in a nutshell.]

That’s about all for now.

Those interior scenes are reminding me a lot of assassin’s creed unity. which were a rather enjoyable part of that game.
