I’m doing monthly theme builds, this month is “ancient and surreal”, and I challenged myself to make a plastic showcase for the first time !!

What kind of optimizations did you use for the ship sinking? Unloading interior? Using specific instances for moving them?

@Inyo22 Built almost all of the ship in Blender so we use Mesh parts, virtually only the decks and invisible walls for collisions are made in Roblox parts. The current lowest detail ship in Roblox Titanic by VVG is over 1 million triangles, and the highest detail model which includes portholes is over 3 million triangles. The new ship model, which we dub the “2.0 update” model so far is about 110k triangles, most impressively with portholes. We still need to input the interior and we estimate the first 2.0 update ship will have 200-300k triangles. Which is 10X more efficient than the high detail model.

Long story short, Roblox is not responsible for lag really, it’s all about the triangles, Blender and mesh parts can take you miles.

Fixed some stuff on the Harpy and made multiple Elementals as well as a Draconian!
